How do you keep
your services free for US Employers?
Our processing fees are paid
by applicants. This is a normal practice in our area of business. Since there
are several costs for processing legal paperwork for foreign workers, including
government fees, the applicants from different countries of the world are
willing to pay in order to come and work in USA.
What
information should I provide in the hiring process?
* We will need to know:
* how many employees you need
* how long do you need the workers for
* what is the salary being offered
* what are the working hours
* job description
* location
* any benefits your company offers to employees
* Company information
Does my
company qualify?
Qualifying Criteria for H2B visa program
· The job and the employer's need must be one time, seasonal, peak load or
intermittent;
· The job must be for less than one year; and
· There must be no qualified and willing U.S. workers available for the job
· The
employer must pay minimum prevailing wage for the position.
In case you can not meet all
qualifying criteria, we still may help you with J1 Visa program, that has no
limitations.
How is the hiring process done?
Our lawyer wil l proceed with
the labor certification on behalf of your company if you hire more than 6
workers. As soon as that is done our offices in more than 20 countries will
start accepting applications for these job positions (you may specify the origin
of the workers). After the Labor Certification is approved, our offices will
send you the information of the workers who were
screened for the positions. With their documents in hand, our lawyer
proceeds with the Petition so that the workers can go to the consulate in
their home countries to apply for the visa. Once the Visa is approved they are
ready to start.
The whole process takes 4-5
months. We suggest to start planning your staffing needs in advance.
Can their visas be extended
while in US?
In case you need workers for a long-term, we will help you extend their stay
to the maximum, and after that, we will provide you with new workers.
How long does it take
to process all paperwork?
The complete process takes from 60 to 120 days. It depends on your availability
to provide us with the information needed as well as the flow of petitions at
the Immigration Services. Please note tha USCIS has an annual cap of 66,000 for
H2B visas.
I need staff urgently. Can you
help me?
In case there is not enough time to process
H-2B paperwork, we still may help you with your staffing needs. You can take
advantage of additional seasonal programs below:
J1 Winter Work & Travel program
(students come to work in USA through December - March)
J1 Summer Work & Travel program
(students come to work in USA through May - October)
J1 Career Training Program (graduates
come to USA for an internship of 6,12 or 18 months)
The paperwork for these programs can be
processed 6 weeks before start date and is very simple for employers. More
information on the additional programs can be found on our division website:
www.unitedworkprograms.com
Do I need to
provide housing to my international workers?
The H-2B Worker is responsible
for housing and other personal expenses while in the US, however, the US Company
should assist the Worker in finding affordable, safe and convenient housing.
Generally, shared housing and transportation with other Workers. Every effort
should be made to keep the living expenses for the Worker as low as possible.
Usually, we coordinate with your company in searching affordable housing for our
applicants.
